Become a Tour Guide Volunteer Today!
IHS is a popular field trip spot especially for fourth grade students and tour guides need to provide a welcoming, hospitable environment and rewarding learning experience to museum visitors through guided tours. Tour Guides need to ensure large groups are making it to every tour space in a timely manner and maintain the schedule.
- Group Tour Volunteers are needed for weekday tours, mostly during the school year (August-May). Tours are scheduled over a month in advance, and typically start between 9am -11am.
- Conducting museum tours of approximately 1 – 1 1/2 hours in length, sometimes with a lunch break.
