Indiana Historical Society Offers Special Happy Hour with Good Cheers and Ugly Sweaters Event

December 1, 2023

Join the Indiana Historical Society (IHS) for a special happy hour at Good Cheers and Ugly Sweaters! This holiday-themed event for attendees 21 and older takes place Friday, December 8 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, located at 450 W. Ohio St. in downtown Indianapolis.

Wear your best ugly sweater or other themed apparel, and enjoy sipping on complimentary local seasonal beverages, including craft beer, spirits and cocktails. Soak up the season while strolling through the winter wonderland of Festival of Trees, and campaign to win the best — or worst — holiday attire.

Tickets are $20 for adults or non-members; $5 for IHS members; and $10 for designated drivers. Tickets include beverage tastings, a souvenir glass, snacks and chances to win prizes throughout the evening. Admission also includes IHS’s Festival of Trees holiday exhibit, with 78 elaborate trees decorating the building. Reserve your tickets here: https://bit.ly/goodcheers2023.

The Stardust Terrace Café by Jonathan Byrd’s will be open during the event with a limited menu. The Ugly Sweater Contest judging will take place at 7:45 p.m. in Lilly Hall.

Good Cheers and Ugly Sweaters sponsors are as follows: Bier Brewery; Daniels Family Vineyard & Winery; Generation NA; Hi & Mighty Distillery; Hotel Tango Distillery; Blind Owl Brewery; Oaken Barrel Brewing Company; Taxman Brewing Company; Sun King Brewing; and Ash & Elm Cider Co.
