The goal of the United Service Organizations, or USO, is to raise morale and provide support to service members. During the Vietnam War, the USO used entertainment as a way to provide temporary escape from the hardships of war. Join us on May 15th from 6-7:30pm, for an evening with former Vietnam War USO performer and Hoosier Bonnie Hinkel. Through a combination of lecture and performance, Hinkel will share her experiences performing with the USO and give you a taste of what one of her shows would have been like with a more than toe-tapping performance. Light refreshments will be provided following the performance. Tickets are $25 for Non-members and $15 for Members, registration required.
Presented by Carter Family Fund with Additional Support from Ayres Foundation and Nicholas H. Noyes, Jr., Memorial Foundation, Inc., and Arthur Jordan Foundation
