Ethnic Eats: Nigeria

Get Tickets

Join us for an energy-packed adventure through the culture and cuisine of Nigeria with food from EKO Restaurant and Banquet Hall. We’ll taste our way through deeply flavored sauces, soups, stews and more inspired by the hundreds of ethnic groups who call Nigeria home. Bring your dancing shoes – we might learn a move or two.

Menu

  • Jollof rice
  • Plantains
  • Iyan – pounded yams
  • Efo riro – vegetable stew
  • Stew of goat, chicken, tilapia and smoked turkey seasoned with onions, tomatoes, bell pepper, jalapeno and served with rice

As Indiana’s Storyteller, the Indiana Historical Society actively works to preserve historical narratives from Indiana’s diverse population. Inspired by our multicultural collecting initiatives, we’ve teamed up with the International Marketplace Coalition to experience the food of the many cultures that call Indiana home.
