Join us September 9 for an illustrated lecture on “Indianapolis in 1854” presented by Dr. James Glass. Dr. Glass is an architectural historian and historic preservation and heritage consultant who has studied the buildings of Indianapolis for much of the past 50 years. Following the presentation, copies of both volumes of his new book, Architecture in Indianapolis, 1820-1920, will be available for purchase and signing. The presentation is based on material in Volume 1 (1820-1900). Volume 2 covers the period 1900-1920.
