Sasha Kasman Laude and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra
Sasha Kasman Laude, 28, began her musical studies with her parents and continued studying with her father, esteemed Russian American pianist Yakov Kasman, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her solo program beautifully intertwines her family’s rich heritage via works by Rachmaninoff and Medtner with pieces chosen from the Western European and contemporary canon. She will then be joined by the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Matthew Kraemer to perform Robert Schumann’s sole Piano Concerto, one of the most widely performed and recorded concertos from the Romantic period.
