2019 Indiana Studies Teacher Conference: Famous Hoosiers

I don’t know what it is about Hoosiers, but wherever you go there is always a Hoosier doing something very important there. – Kurt Vonnegut

This full-day event for educators, both current and preservice, will familiarize participants with grade-level specific resources for students to Do History. Topics covered will include teaching through primary sources, living history in the classroom and support for Indiana Studies courses. Educators attending will also get a behind-the-scenes tour of our newest exhibit opening that week – You Are There 1915: Madam C.J. Walker, Empowering Women.
