Hoosier History At Your Fingertips

August 26, 2024

Have you ever wished for the ability to shop online for images depicting Hoosier History? Well, now you can! Just this month the Indiana Historical Society has made over 90,000 digital assets more accessible by launching our high-resolution image ordering system.

T.C. Steele letter to James Whitcomb Riley, 1883, Indiana Historical Society, M0660. Milton Robinson in GAR Uniform with Sons, Indiana Historical Society, M1078.

Previously, if you wanted to order a high-resolution image from our digital image site for yourself, or to use in a book, documentary, exhibit, art display, etc, you reached out to the library via email. While our library staff worked hard to make this process as smooth as possible, we knew the process could be easier — and now it is.

Fort Wayne Rose Garden, 1963, Indiana Historical Society, P0586.

You can easily add images to your cart, select applicable use rights, agree to terms and conditions, and check out — all right from our digital image site. After completing your purchase, a link will be emailed to you to download your files.
