Meet Charlotte Ottinger, author of Madge: The Life and Times of Madge Oberholtzer, the Young Irvington Woman Who Brought Down D.C. Stephenson and the Ku Klux Klan. Learn about the life and murder of this historical Indianapolis figure from her foremost biographer.
Join us for a deeper look at the events leading to the rise and fall of the Ku Klux Klan in Indiana. These programs, in conjunction with the 2025 McFadden lecture, commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the murder of Madge Oberholtzer, the trial of D.C. Stephenson, and the fall of the KKK in Indiana.
