Madam Walker Virtual Tour
Take a virtual tour of the latest You Are There exhibit from the Indiana Historical Society. In this exhibit, You Are There 1915: Madam C.J. Walker, Empowering Women, you’ll get a chance to meet Madam Walker and hear about her successes, struggles, and how she built the Madam C.J. Walker Manufacturing Company into a multi-million-dollar enterprise.
Based in Indianapolis for much of her adult life, Madam Walker was an entrepreneur, community philanthropist, Indiana activist, and a role model for many women in the United States.
