The Big Band Concert

Join us for an evening of dynamic big-band music featuring works by Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter, Wes Montgomery, Dizzy, Monk, and Miles, highlighted by the song stylings of one of the city’s finest young vocalists.

The IHS, along with the TimelessMusicProject, will feature the Starlighters Swinging Big Band featuring special guest vocalist Jill Kelly Howe on October 14,

About Jill Kelly Howe

Jazz vocalist Jill Kelly Howe is a lifelong musical theatre performer who has sung in clubs and stages throughout the Midwest for the past twenty years. Recently, she starred as Morticia in the Broadway musical The Addams Family. She’s a regular at clubs singing jazz standards throughout Indy, including regular performances with the TimelessMusicProject. She is thrilled to make her debut with the Starlighters Swinging Big Band in the beautiful Frank and Katrina Basile Theater at the Indiana History Center.
