Putting the Vote To Work

What happens after women get the right the vote? Join political scientists Dr. Laura Merrifield WilsonDr. Christina Wolbrecht, and journalist Sage Steele to dig into the data around women’s voting patterns and female representation. We’ll explore how a century of voting behavior and trends has upset conventional wisdom and why women are underrepresented within American government.

This event is part of the Suffrage Centennial Block Party celebrating the 100th anniversary of women voting in Indiana! Join scholars, thinkers, artists, and our Hoosier community for a week of free talks, parties, workshops, happy hours, and fun. Online and in your own backyard.

This program is brought to you by the Indiana Historical Society, Indiana Humanities and the Indiana Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission, in conjunction with Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western ArtIndiana State Museum and Historic Sites, and Indiana Statehouse Tour Office
