Holiday Cheers: Good Wines and Ugly Sweaters

We’re putting a new spin on our annual ugly sweaters party and taking it virtual!  Grab your ugliest holiday garb and join us for a special holiday happy hour with themed guided wine tasting with Daniel’s Family Winery, games, activities and more to raise money for IHS’ Educational programs. 

$30 | $5 discount for IHS members.* You must be 21 years or older and have a valid ID to participate in this event. Ticket includes online program to follow along while you drink, tasting flight of four wines, and a kit with snacks, festive swag, and souvenir wine glass.

Shipping (for Indiana residents only) or local delivery (Hancock, Hamilton, and Marion Counties only) available for additional $10 if ordered by midnight Dec. 15; or pick-up at Daniel’s Winery, 9061 N. 700 W. McCordsville, IN during operating hours until Dec. 17 (Daily noon to 8 p.m.; Friday + Saturday noon to 10 p.m.)

What age is this program best for? 

You must be 21 years or older to participate in this event.

What is included in my kit? 

One kit is included with your registration. Your kit will include snack pack of pretzels and gummies, Ugly Sweater ornament activity; themed bingo card; customized tasting glass; four 2oz bottles of wine; themed swag to help jazz-up your outfit; and access to live, virtual program including wine tasting and Ugly Sweater Contest.  

Holiday Cheers tickets do not include admission to Festival of Trees at the Indiana Historical Society. If you’d like to visit the exhibition during operating hours, you will need to purchase an advanced admission ticket.

How do I safely receive get my kit? 

You have three options to get your kit, which you can select upon purchase: 

  • Pick-up your kit from Daniels’s Family Winery (9061 N. 700 W., McCordsville) during operating hours until Dec. 13 (daily, noon to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, noon to 10 p.m.)
  • Have your kit mailed for an additional $10 per kit. Only open to Indiana Residents. Kits must be ordered by Dec 14.  
  • Have your kit delivered to you for an additional $10 (Only available to residents in Marion, Hamilton and Hancock Counties)Kits must be ordered by Dec. 14. 

Do I need one kit for each adult to participate? 

That is really up to you. We have designed these kits to serve one person, but you are welcome to share with another adult in your household. You may opt to purchase additional kits during registration. 

Wait a minute. Will you still have your annual Ugly Sweater Contest? 

Yes! Not even a global pandemic can stop our annual contest. Watch your confirmation email for details on how to submit your photo to the contest. We’ll select our finalists and vote live during the event. Winners will get their prizes mailed to them following the event.
