An Evening with Mike Pence

The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) will host an evening with Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday, Aug. 20, 5:30 to 7 p.m. The event will take place at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, located at 450 W. Ohio St. in downtown Indianapolis.

Featuring his new book, What Conservatives Believe, the evening will begin with a program that includes remarks from Pence and a conversation with IHS Board of Trustees Chair William Barrett. After the program, Pence will sign books for attendees.

Mike Pence served as the 48th Vice President of the United States (2017–2021), 50th Governor of Indiana (2013–2017) and as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (2001–2013). Pence is also a New York Times bestselling author, and this latest title is his third book.

Tickets for the evening are $55 and include a copy of the book, and advance registration is required.

About the Book

In What Conservatives Believe, Pence argues Republicans must rediscover the principles of true conservatism to deal with the challenges of tomorrow. He issues an urgent warning about the future of the GOP, urging the party to choose enduring conservative principles over the temptations of big-government populism.

Pence writes about the importance of conservatism with authority, respect, and candor. With candid insights after decades as a happy warrior in the movement, he explains why the Republican Party must choose enduring conservative principles over the temptations of big-government populism.
