The History Center welcomes a variety of group visits (school, adult, senior, charter bus tours, club, etc.).

For details and to schedule a date to best fit your group’s needs, please complete the reservation request form below. Please note that group services might be limited on Saturdays.

*One chaperone is required for every 10 students visiting. Required chaperones will receive free admission. Any chaperones over the required number will be charged the group admission rate per person.

Special Program Offering:
Primary Source Analysis – Exploring the Collection of the Remnant Trust

(offered in tandem with school group tours only; intended for grades k-12)

Explore and interact with historical documents from the Remnant Trust Collection. Educators can choose to explore history, economics, philosophy/literature, civics or religion.

What To Expect:

  • You have studied history; now they can DO history. Our experiences bring Indiana’s stories to life. A visit to the History Center in downtown Indianapolis includes admission to all exhibits in the Indiana Experience.
  • Depending on group size, tours take 90-120 minutes on average to complete.
  • One chaperone per 10 students is required and attends free of charge. Additional chaperones will be charged $13/each for admission.
  • Title I schools receive complimentary admission.
  • A complimentary lunch space is provided upon request from the group leader and must be reserved; reserved spaces are based on availability.
  • All experiences meet Indiana Academic Standards in Social Studies and other subjects.
