Asian Americans are the fastest-growing group in the United States and include approximately 50 distinct ethnic groups, but their stories and experiences have often been sidelined or stereotyped. As a Smithsonian Affiliate, we hope you’ll join the Indiana Historical Society as Dr. Gonzalves explores history and culture across the Midwest and the United States through his book Smithsonian Asian Pacific American History, Art, and Culture in 101 Objects.
Book signings will be available at the end of the event.
Theodore S. Gonzalves, Ph.D., is a scholar of comparative cultural studies. He has taught in the United States, Spain, and the Philippines.
