The Long Road to Voting
Women weren’t given the right to vote. They fought for it. Join us for a super-sized edition of the Indiana Historical Society’s History Happy Hour as we dive into the 70-year fight for suffrage with Dr. Joan Johnson of Northwestern University and Dr. Allison K. Lange of the Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Free. Online via Zoom. Online. Space is limited to first 500 registrants. Registration for this event will close two hours before the program.
This event is part of the Suffrage Centennial Block Party celebrating the 100th anniversary of women voting in Indiana! Join scholars, thinkers, artists, and our Hoosier community for a week of free talks, parties, workshops, happy hours, and fun. Online and in your own backyard.
This happy hour is brought to you by OneAmerica Financial Partners, a national provider in the insurance and financial services marketplace.
A party of the Suffrage Block Party presented by the Indiana Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission, Indiana Historical Society, Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, Indiana Humanities, Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites, and Indiana Statehouse Tour Office.
