That Ayres Look

Description

This tree captures the glitz and glamour of Indiana’s favorite department store. Remember the magical window displays?

Specifics

  • Decorated in celebration of L.S. Ayres and Company department store founded in Indianapolis in 1872
  • Ayres blue and silver decorations to reflect “That Ayres Look” – a long-time slogan used to promote Ayres’s image as a fashion leader for nearly 50 years
  • Golden cherub ornaments in honor of the famous cherub that was placed on the flagship store outdoor clock every Thanksgiving Eve starting in 1947
  • Ayres was known for beautiful Christmas decorations, especially its elaborate window displays

A Closer Look

Since it was a landmark of L.S. Ayres, we had to give the golden cherub a special place on our tree.
