Register Today

Come along as we dig into the past and meet the archaeologists who explore Indiana’s history. Delve into the state’s archaeology with behind-the-scenes tours and chances to get your hands dirty.

On this excursion, uncover the stories of Indiana’s oldest archaeology school – the Glenn A. Black Laboratory at Indiana University. You’ll handle artifacts, create your own mini-exhibit and watch archaeologists in action.

Stay tuned – there will be another Going Out, Digging In at Mounds State Park on Saturday, Sept. 14.

$25; $20 members. Includes behind-the-scenes experience and a snack.

Presented in partnership with the Glenn A. Black Laboratory of Archaeology at Indiana University and Ball State University Department of Anthropology
