Follow the Reyes Family from West Central Mexico into the United States and to Indiana Harbor, at the time a melting pot of Eastern European communities. Learn how their family grew alongside the new Mexican population of Indiana of the early 1900s. See how their lives were impacted by early immigration policy and guest worker programs through to the Chicano Civil Rights Era. We’ll explore three Reyes generations using their Mexican records to follow them to the U.S. border and into the Hoosier state.
