"Enthusiastic congratualtions to Douglas Clanin and his staff
of accomplished researchers and editors and to the Indiana Historical
Society . . . who managed and financed this major task. Careful
and meticulous transcription and proofreading have provided authoritative
texts and highly useful explanatory footnotes and perceptive evaluations."
--Professor Emeritus Robert Gunderson
"The painstaking care that you have taken to provide the reader
with authentic, reliable texts . . . is most impressive . . . your
texts supersede all preceding texts."
--Dr. Gaspare J. Saladino
The ten-reel set of transcripts
of The Papers of William Henry Harrison, 1800-1815, are available
for sale from the IHS. This edition, under the principal editorship
of IHS editor Douglas E. Clanin, supersedes the two-volume set edited
by Logan Esarey and published by the Indiana Historical Commission
in 1922. Over the course of more than a decade, approximately 3,600
Harrison documents were collected and transcribed for the new edition
-- five times the number of documents in the old edition.
The Harrison microfilm edition,
which includes a printed guide, is available from the Society for
$300. Also, the guide may be purchased separately for $20 and the
individual reels are priced at $35 each. Postage and handling charges
for these individual items are $3 for the first order and $1 for
each additional purchase. You may purchase these items at the History
Market.
